I don't know what happened...

This was meant to be a more laid back Boards of Canada-ey/"Selected Ambient Works II" vibe.

I mean there's hints of that there, and I hope this is chilled enough for you to chuck on in the background while doing whatever it is you do when you have music on, but yeah. I guess the stars didn't align on this one. Or it did. Not sure.

But 'Adrift' is undoubtedly a love letter to Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin nonetheless. I was listening to a lot of 'The Campfire Headphase' and SAW 85-92/SAW II at the time and much like my previous work, wanted to have a good old crack at doing it myself. Not to toot my own horn, but I'm pretty chuffed with the result.

Pretty sure this is going to be the last time I use samples I'm sketchy about clearing, though. This was a headache.
